Ideal Stay

The journey begins as soons as you land in the Santa Rosa Airport in La Pampa. We pick you up from the airport and before reaching our destination (1 hour aprox.) you can observe different landscapes and ecological reserves, such as Parque Luro National Reserve. Part of our journey is through a dirt road. Later on, we will take a path leading to a forest until we finally reach our long-awaited destination, the estancia compound.

Once we arrive to the estancia, our local staff or the owners will show you around the premises, including the bedrooms, the common rooms and the facilities. For an optimum experience, we recommend a minimum stay of 3 nights or 6 nights to relax and make the most of the experience.

3 nights

Day 1

Flight from Buenos Aires to Santa Rosa. Arrival in the night.
Transfer from the airport to the estancia.

Day 2

Trekking + Picnic + Barbecue + Horseback Riding

Breakfast is served in the veranda or in the main dining area with panoramic views of the Patagonian steppe. Then, visitors can go trekking through the woods, in search of deer or wild boars. Later, we will stop for a snack before having lunch in the woods. We return from out outings to enjoy a typical local barbecue with our best meat and with a green salad from our own garden.

The afternoon is for relaxing. The horses will be already prepared for a ride later on. They include Arab, Quarter Mile, Criollo and Peruvian Paso horses. We will start our ride to the dunes that can be seen from the veranda of the house. We will ride through the woods and we might even have the chance to spot some deer or wild boars. We will then make a stop to enjoy a good Malbec wine.

Day 3

Horseback Riding / Relax / Hunting

Breakfast in the veranda.

Option 1
If you are feeling adventurous and you want to live a gaucho experience, we recommend you to go horseback riding and herd cattle with the gauchos of the estancia or you can also do some activities in the pen. Otherwise, we offer a more comfortable option: a 4x4 truck or quad ride.

Option 2
If you prefer a more relaxing experience, you can start your day with a yoga class or a decontracting body massage.

Option 3
If you are interested in learning more about the hunting tradition, we can organize an adventure day.

When we return, you can enjoy a snack and a lunch, which includes a vegetarian option. During the afternoon, you can go birdwatching through the Calden woods and finish with a surprise picnic in an unexpected place.

Day 4

Return to Buenos Aires.
Our chofer will take you to the airport (not paid).

6 nights

It includes daily horseback rides, of 4 to 6 hours long (except on Sunday afternoon). The riding circuits are according to our guests’ wishes and expertise.

Before the arrival, tailor-made activity programmes will be made for our guests to experience horseback rides with different horse breeds and ride through different circuits and also do a gaucho activity.

Every day is different from the previous one and each day is full of unique experiences, as our guests can take part in a barbecue, visit the Mennonite community of the XVIII century, among other activities that we organize according to our guests’ preferences.
